What it is
Vowel Filter is Vectra’s advanced formant topology: a five-formant vowel bank designed for synthetic voice color, animated vowel movement, feedback-driven resonance, and more extreme vocal filter behavior than the compact Formant Filter.

Sound and workflow
The model moves through vowel identities and can shift from controlled phonetic color into feedback and screamer-style behavior. It is especially strong for talking basses, alien vocals, psytrance leads, formant drones, resonant growls, and patches where the filter becomes a character voice rather than a neutral tone shaper. In the dual-filter section, Vowel can be paired with Vari-Slope for weight, Comb for tuned resonance, Morph for wide spectral travel, or Phase for animated cancellation before the signal reaches Maelstrom FX.

How to activate
