VECTRA 2.2.0
GRAINFIELD Engine Refinements
VECTRA 2.2.0 introduces a focused set of refinements to the GRAINFIELD granular engine, improving continuity, responsiveness and behavior under dynamic modulation and render-rate changes.
More Responsive Density Modulation
GRAINFIELD now reacts more immediately to changing Density values while preserving the timing character of the existing grain stream.
This improves the feel of fast Density modulation, automation and performance changes, especially when moving between sparse and highly active granular textures.
Refined Grain Boundary Handling
Grains approaching the limits of the selected sample region now transition more gracefully when the available source material ends before the grain’s natural lifetime.
This produces cleaner behavior around tightly defined Sample Start and Sample End regions and improves the consistency of granular playback at extreme settings.
Improved Continuity During Oversampling Changes
GRAINFIELD now preserves active grain timing, pitch and playback state when VECTRA changes its internal render rate.
This allows ongoing granular textures to remain coherent across oversampling transitions instead of treating the new render domain as a fresh engine state.
Under-the-Hood Stability Improvements
Additional internal state handling has been refined for grain scheduling and render-rate transitions, strengthening GRAINFIELD’s behavior under modulation-heavy and dynamically changing conditions.
VECTRA 2.2.0 is a focused GRAINFIELD engine refinement release. No new controls or parameters are introduced in this version.
