VECTRA 2.1.1 introduces the new built-in update system. Install this release once through the current download flow, and staying current with future VECTRA releases becomes much easier.

Users on earlier versions should update manually from My Products or the main VECTRA download page.
The updater now lives inside VECTRA.
2.1.1 establishes the product-side update infrastructure needed for a more direct release path going forward.
Future releases become easier to keep up with.
Once you're on 2.1.1, you no longer need to rely entirely on external announcements to know a newer build exists.
How to move onto the new update system.
There is no migration process, account reset or license change. The important part is simply getting onto VECTRA 2.1.1.
Your existing VECTRA edition remains the same. Free, Standard and Deluxe users all use the same current release path.
Software this active needs a better release path.
VECTRA has been evolving rapidly across synthesis, sound design, interface and infrastructure. That pace is useful only if users can reliably stay on the version the instrument is actually being developed around.
The updater is not a flashy synthesis feature. It is foundational product infrastructure: less friction between a finished release and the people using it, and a much cleaner way to keep the installed base current.
2.1.1 is the bridge into that system.
