FORGE LIVE.
What if an oscillator didn't have to stop at a generated wavetable? Meet the next evolution of VECTRA's Forge: procedural sound material brought directly into the playable instrument.

01 / THE CHANGE
From generated material to playable material.
Forge has already been a way to design sound sources inside VECTRA. With Forge Live, that procedural design becomes part of the active oscillator: a source you can shape and perform as you play.
Two oscillator slots can run independent live sources. Material Position is designed for immediate movement; other material controls can regenerate their source in the background while playback continues. The result is an instrument that remains playable as its underlying sound material evolves.
This is a working development preview, not footage of a released version or a promise of a specific launch date.
02 / ACTUAL FOOTAGE
Not renders. The instrument running.
Two brief screen recordings from ongoing testing show the live oscillators evolving in real time. These are authentic VECTRA captures, not simulated user interfaces.
Two sources. One playing instrument.
The first demonstration shows separate live sources and their evolving material displays, each with its own shaping surface.
Move the material. Hear it respond.
The second capture emphasizes how changing the source affects the terrain and waveform while the performance continues.
Authentic screen recordings from Stefano’s development testing. Video and audio are captured from the actual instrument; Forge Live is not yet a released feature.
03 / A NEW MODE OF SYNTHESIS
Same instrument. A new relationship with sound.
Design the source.
Use procedural methods to produce material that can be committed to a wavetable-based oscillator workflow.
Perform the source.
Work with procedural sound material as a live oscillator engine, with performance controls and visual feedback inside VECTRA.

04 / UNDER THE HOOD
Depth without stopping the sound.
This work extends the instrument's synthesis architecture. It is not simply an animated display added to an old wavetable player.
A direct, continuously playable way to traverse the material without a regeneration step.
Other controls update the source asynchronously so the old material can continue sounding until the new one is ready.
An additional native additive voice engine alongside the Forge material families.
MORE SOON / VECTRA
We're building this now.
The clips above are an early look at a functional system still under active development and testing. More musical demonstrations and release information will follow once ready.
Forge Live shown in development. Not included in the currently released VECTRA build. Availability and edition entitlement will be confirmed for release.
