WHY NOTE DNA
A preset no longer has to mean one shared state.
Conventional synthesis gives every note the same underlying parameter state. NOTE DNA keeps that parent sound intact, then lets selected notes carry their own stored differences. The result is one playable preset whose timbre can be designed note by note.

QUICK WRITE / IMMEDIATE
Play a note. Move a control. Keep the difference.
Quick Write is the fast authoring path. Arm NOTE DNA, select or play the note you want to shape, then adjust a supported VECTRA control. NOTE DNA captures that difference as a Lock for the selected note.
FULL PANEL / PRECISE
See the complete note map when you want to go deeper.
The Full NOTE DNA panel gives you deliberate control over stored Note States: inspect the note map, review individual Locks, choose Relative or Absolute behavior, and edit parameters that are better handled directly than through Quick Write.
DEEP PARAMETER ACCESS / 164 PARAMETERS
Deep enough to reshape how a note behaves.
NOTE DNA reaches across the sound architecture rather than stopping at a handful of obvious controls. The eligible surface spans 164 parameters, while each MIDI note can carry up to 16 purposeful Locks.
Synthesis
Oscillator and voice parameters can form note-specific timbral identities.
Sample + Grain
Use note-local sample and granular behavior for more structural variation.
Mod Routing
Individual notes can carry different modulation-route depths while routing stays coherent.

What exactly does NOTE DNA store?
NOTE DNA stores parameter differences as Locks on individual MIDI notes. Each note can hold up to 16 Locks, using either Relative or Absolute behavior.
Does NOTE DNA replace the parent preset?
No. Your VECTRA preset remains the parent sound. NOTE DNA adds note-specific sound states on top of that foundation.
How many parameters can NOTE DNA target?
NOTE DNA can target 164 eligible parameters. A single note can use up to 16 Locks from that surface.
Do I need VECTRA Deluxe?
No. NOTE DNA is included with VECTRA Deluxe, but VECTRA Free and Standard users can purchase it separately for €49.99.
Is there a separate NOTE DNA installer?
No. NOTE DNA is integrated into VECTRA. The first public client build is VECTRA 2.2.6.
What is the difference between Quick Write and the Full Panel?
Quick Write is optimized for immediate capture directly from supported VECTRA controls. The Full Panel gives you a complete view of Note States and Locks, including targets that are better authored through deliberate panel editing.
